*sneaks in and waves*
I’m creating my first automata. I have completed a couple of kits and now I am taking the plunge, all be it in a very simple form. Progress picture below.
I’ve stepped back in to this world by accident and inspiration. As I write I’m often inspired by images and so I wanted to attach some images that I created to the words I write.
This watercolour was originally not going to look anything like this, it wasn’t even the subject matter but after a tantrum followed by a little time getting my hand back in tune with the paint it became Broc.
At the edge of every woodland I dream to see this character looking back at me before heavy-footing it back through the undergrowth to chomp on some bluebells. A glimpse is enough.
Here’s the video. For more info check out the previous post. If you have any questions then please feel free to ask.
So here are some pictures of the woodcarving Bee has recently completed. I have been wanting to get something like this down for three years and I am in love with it. As I type this now I’m uploading a short video on to my YouTube channel so you can take the walk. I’ll attach it to this post once it is up.
You can go on a walk from the church, across the field and glance at the birds flying by. Then when you hop over the style or the wall and make your way to the edge of the treeline you might see foxes, badgers and even rabbits in the field. The when you wander across to the next field if you are very lucky you might just see a hare. But don’t forget to check the pond in case there is a toad nearby. Shhhh, stay quiet at the far edge of the field is a stag and his does.
Can you tell how much I love this.
Oh and I do stumble over the washing basket near the beginning of the video so please ignore that!
I am missing this little home of blogginess but I am working really hard at the moment on some poems and I have entered my first competitions ever. Even if nothing ever comes of them, they have got me writing and listening and thinking more. And I’m discovering some amazing poets. 🙂
My pencil is squirrelling away like the Sorcerers Apprentice.
I do have – and I will make sure I get this up soon – a video and some pictures of a new woodcarving that Bee did a short time ago. I have been asking for this for three years but what is time when you get a result like we now have over the fireplace.
Hi everyone, first off I’m sending my best wishes to you all.
Next I would like to give a quick explanation as to why this little blog home has been void of additions lately, however please don’t think I’m doing this for any desire for a response or a cry for an emotional crutch or anything like that. I just want to give you the facts.
We’ve had two close family deaths in very quick succession which you can imagine (as I am confident you are all emotionally intelligent people) has been a shock followed by a lot of sadness and shock and so on. It is a process in itself to grieve for one person but when that becomes more than one, it is a strange coil and wave of emotions. I’ve tried to be a support to Bee where I can be.
Death and philosophy walk hand in hand, we must allow life and philosophy to do the same.
I am hoping to get more posts up here and videos again in the near future so see you soon.
Back on Boxing Day (strangely) I posted a murder poem called Lizzie. I wasn’t thinking about murder, Christmas was quite a pleasant affair.
I do enjoy reading my poems out but don’t think I could ever face a crowd doing it but I can mask it with the power of video (insert reverb and 1980’s sound effects here). I would like to create versions to go along with all my written work eventually. I don’t know what’s come over me getting all these videos done…..actually I do, I downloaded the free software VSDC for video editing. If I didn’t have such a terrible laptop I probably would have created a few more fancy videos but it likes to crash on me which means I’m sticking with simple.
My YouTube channel is here if you would like to go and take a look.
